This page states the “Terms of Use” under which you (“You”) may use Legalrecruitmentfair.com, a portal owned and operated by Law Pundits LLP (“Legalrecruitmentfair.com” or “LRF” or “Web Site”) for conducting Legal Recruitment Fair 3.0.

These Terms of Use include the LRF Privacy Statement which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. By using Legalrecruitmentfair.com, You are indicating your acceptance to be bound by these Terms of Use, including the LRF Privacy Statement. This document also clearly states how the LRF 3.0 shall operate.

Please read this page carefully. If ‘You’ do not accept the Terms of Use stated herein, do not use the Web Site, do not register yourself either as a candidate or employer or use any of the services that LRF 3.0 aims to offer. By using Legalrecruitmentfair.com, You are indicating your acceptance to be bound by the provisions of these Terms of Use. Law Pundits LLP (“Law Pundits”) may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating this posting. You should visit this page periodically to review the Terms of Use, because they are binding on You’.

Users who violate these Terms may have their access and use of the LRF Sites suspended or terminated, at LRF’s discretion.

Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to visit or use Legalrecruitmentfair.com in any manner. In order to register as a candidate the minimum requirement is you should be in your final year of your law studies (LLB or BL or such other degree that will entitle you to practice law upon completion) and should be graduating within 3 months from the date of interview. There is no upper limit in age restriction or experience restriction for registering for LRF.

Registration Information
When you register with the LRF Site, You will be asked to provide us with certain information including, without limitation, a valid email address (your “Information”). In addition to the Terms of Use and any privacy policy applicable to any Law Pundits Group Web Site, You understand and agree that Law Pundits may disclose to third parties, on an anonymous basis, certain aggregate information contained in your registration application. Law Pundits will not disclose to any third party your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number without your prior consent, except to the extent necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.

Law Pundits reserves the right to offer third party services and products to You based on the preferences that You identify in your registration and at any time thereafter; such offers may be made by LRF or by third parties. Please see the Law Pundit’s Privacy Statement for further details regarding your Information.

Registration is complete only after payment of either INR 999/- in case you want to be considered for one season or INR 1850/- in case you want to be considered for more than one season.  Completing the registration process does not mean that you will be guaranteed an interview.  Selection for attending the interview is based purely on the Employer. Law Pundits have absolutely no control over it. The shortlisted Candidates list will be published in the website 5 days before the scheduled interview dates. We will also send out the mail regarding the shortlisted candidates to each of the registered candidates.

Once you register, your CV will be retained for a year and if there are employers who would approach us we will share your CV without the contact details.

Please note if you are a candidate, you will be manually assigned a candidate registration number, which should be used at all times to communicate with us. We will also alter your CV to reflect this candidate number.

In case the employer shortlists a candidate, we will schedule the interview and after the interview, in case a candidate has been selected either for further rounds or immediately confirmed, we will publish the final shortlist after which, you will communicate directly with the employer.

Without limiting any of the other disclaimers of warranty set forth in these Terms of Use, LRF does not provide or make any representation as to the quality or nature of any of the third party products or services purchased through the Legalrecruitmentfair.com or any other LRF Site, or any other representation, warranty or guaranty. Any such undertaking, representation, warranty or guaranty would be furnished solely by the provider of the applicable class, or learning material, product or service, under the terms agreed to by the provider.

Use of the LRF Services
The LRF services is to used only by individuals seeking employment in the legal sector and/or seeking career information and by employers seeking employees to perform legal/legal related function. In addition, the LRF Communities may be used by individuals for permitted professional and personal networking purposes. Your use of the LRF Services is also subject to any other contracts You may have with Law Pundits. In the case of any conflict between these Terms and any contract you have with LRF, the terms of your contract will prevail. The term “post” as used herein shall mean information that You submit, publish or display on a LRF Site.

Specific Prohibited uses
The job posting and resume database features of Legalrecruitmentfair.com may be used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking employment and career information and employers seeking employees.

Law Pundits specifically prohibits any other use of Legalrecruitmentfair.com, and all Users agree not to do any of the following:

  1. Transmit, post, distribute, store or destroy material, including without limitation LRF Content, in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to laws or regulations governing the collection, processing, or transfer of personal information, or in breach of LRF’s privacy policy;
  2. Post any resume or apply for any job on behalf of another party;
  3. Defer any contact from an employer to any agent, agency, or other third party;
  4. Set more than one copy of the same resume to public at any one time;
  5. Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information from other Users;
  6. Use any LRF Site Resume Database for any purpose other than as an employer seeking employees, including but not limited to using the information in the Resume Database to sell or promote any products or services;
  7. Send unsolicited mail or e-mail, making unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited faxes regarding promotions and/or advertising of products or services to a user of any LRF Site;
  8. Use the LRF Services for any unlawful purpose or any illegal activity, or post or submit any content, resume, or job posting that is defamatory, libelous, implicitly or explicitly offensive, vulgar, obscene, threatening, abusive, hateful, racist, discriminatory, of a menacing character or likely to cause annoyance, inconvenience, embarrassment, anxiety or could cause harassment to any person or include any links to pornographic, indecent or sexually explicit material of any kind, as determined by LRF’s discretion.

Additional terms applicable to Candidates
When You register for LRF 3.0 , You will be asked to fill in the required information, including your name, e-mail address, year of bar council admission etc. (Your “Information”).

Any Profile you submit must be accurate and describe You, an individual person. The Profile requires standard fields to be completed and you may not include in these fields any telephone numbers, street addresses, email addresses or other means of contacting You, other than Your last name and URLs.

You acknowledge and agree that You are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any resume or material contained therein placed by You on the LRF Sites.

LRF reserves the right to offer third party services and products to You based on the preferences that You identify in Your registration and at any time thereafter or you have agreed to receive, such offers may be made by LRF or by third parties.

You understand and acknowledge that You have no ownership rights in Your account and that if You cancel Your LRF account or Your LRF account is terminated, all Your account information from LRF, including resumes, Profiles, cover letters, saved jobs, questionnaires will be marked as deleted in and may be deleted from LRF’s databases and will be removed from any public area of the LRF Sites. Information may continue to be available for some period of time because of delays in propagating such deletion through LRF’s web servers. In addition, third parties may retain saved copies of Your Information.

Data Privacy and SMS Alerts
In the context of the ‘alerts’ service being introduced by LRF; the candidate consents to the use of his personal data in the form of cellular phone number(s) being used by LRF to forward relevant job alerts and other information as and when they become available.

Terms for Candidates
If you have registered for more than one season, Your CV will be retained in our database for a year and you will be notified of any job that matches your profile during the course of the year until the next Legal Recruitment Fair.
Your resume will be altered to remove the contact details.

You understand and agree that you have read and understood this document as well as the Candidate Brochure,  How it works document  and the videos contained in this web site. Law Pundits will hold a conference call/Webinar/Virtual meeting  at a date prior to the event. You agree that you will participate in a conference call organized by Law Pundits to familiarize yourself with the online interview process.

Terms for Recruiters
You will be given the candidates resumes and application details except personal and contact information. If you are interested in any candidates, please indicate your shortlisted candidates. At the LRF event, you can conduct the interviews. You will be provided with Rooms for holding presentation about your firm and for conducting the interviews as well. While it is not mandatory that you make the offer immediately at the recruiting event, it is highly recommended that you do.


LRF’s Liability
The Legalrecruitmentfair.com is the website for the Legal Recruitment Fair organized by Law Pundits LLP. Among other things, the following functions can be performed in the site

  1. Employers who want to attend the LRF event can register.
  2. Candidates who want to attend the LRF event can also register and upload their resumes.
  3. Unless specifically asked by the employers, Law Pundits does not screen the resumes or evaluate the accuracy of the representations made by the Candidates in the application form or resumes.
  4. Law Pundits does not accept any responsibility once an Employer has hired the Candidate.
  5. LRF is an event conceived, owned and operated by Law Pundits.

Disclaimer of Warranty
LAW PUNDITS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT LRF SITE WILL OPERATE ERROR-FREE OR THAT LRF SITE AND ITS SERVERS ARE FREE OF COMPUTER VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL MECHANISMS. IF YOUR USE OF LRF SITE OR THE LRF CONTENT RESULTS IN THE NEED FOR SERVICING OR REPLACING EQUIPMENT OR DATA, LAW PUNDITS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE COSTS. THE LRF SITE AND LRF CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT POSSIBLE BY LAW, LRF’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH LRF SITE OR YOUR USE OF THE LRF CONTENT, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, BREACH OF WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE), WILL NOT EXCEED INR 1,000. (Indian Rupees One Thousand).

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Law Pundits, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, Partners, employees and agents, from and against any claims, actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from (i) any User Content or other material You provide to any Law Pundits Site, (ii) Your use of any website Content, or (iii) Your breach of these Terms. Law Pundits shall provide notice to You promptly of any such claim, suit, or proceeding.

Term and Termination
These Terms of Use will remain in full force and effect while You are a User of Legalrecruitmentfair.com or you are a participant at the Legal recruitment Fair. Law Pundits reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to pursue all of its legal remedies, including but not limited to deletion of your User Content from Legalrecruitmentfair.com and immediate termination of your registration with or ability to access Legalrecruitmentfair.com and/or any other services provided to You by Law Pundits, upon any breach by You of these Terms of Use or if the Company is unable to verify or authenticate any information You submit to Legalrecruitmentfair.com

These “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Commitment” of LRF site constitute a binding agreement between You and Law Pundits LLP, and is accepted by You upon your use of the LRF Site.
